I see it in rich people’s homes all the time.

It’s not that the rich and the middle classes have different materials in their bathrooms. It’s a quick and easy trick that only costs a few dollars. A cleaning pro who’s worked with clients of all wealth levels says so.

There’s a video that’s gone super-viral with over 196,000 views. It shows Faith (@faithsreadingnook), a professional cleaner with over 20 years of experience, saying there’s a tool that differentiates her middle-class clients from the wealthy.

“Right now I’m in a glass shower. They use this,” he says, holding up a spatula.

The display says, “I see it in almost every rich person’s house.”

What do you think about using a scraper?

A shower squeegee is really useful for getting rid of water that’s running from the tap and collecting on walls and doors.

Some people like to let the water drip away after showering, but cleaning wet surfaces with a squeegee is a good idea. That’s what cleaning service Merry Maids says anyway. It gets rid of water super quickly and prevents hard water and soap scum, which is great for long-term cleaning and maintenance. (Via)

Faith shows us how well it works by cleaning the shower before and after.

‘I clean this place once a month and I want you to see this window that I haven’t cleaned yet,’ says Faith, pointing to the foam-free glass: ‘It looks great.

Faith says that rich people often use the squeegee, but you don’t have to be a millionaire to get one. You can find these spatulas for less than $5 at stores like Amazon, IKEA and Target.

I thought they were only for the rich?

The comments say that scrapers are mainly used by the “rich”.

I’m a poor person and I use it and I don’t get water stains. I don’t even have descaler,” one person said, claiming the tool works. Faith replied, “A poor person. Haha. I was educated.”

“I’m not rich, but I use one,” said another.

“I didn’t know my tyres were flexible,” someone joked.

But others agreed about the link between wealth and spatula use.

“That’s one thing. My mum has a home cleaning business. She’s been doing it for 35 years. Every house has a squeegee in the shower. They want their house to look nice,” said one onlooker.

Another said he also cleans for the rich and they all have this squeegee.

“I see them in rich people’s houses all the time too. It’s funny,” added a third.

Faith clarifies her point in a later video. (Via)

“I’m not saying poor people can’t do it or don’t do it. In most of the houses I clean, it’s usually the upper classes who have the scrapers,” he says.
